The Talisman is a plate reverb pedal with studio style controls, and is based on the era-defining EMT plate reverb units of the '60s and '70s. Our goal was to capture all the goodness of classic studio plate reverb by actually experiencing a well maintained EMT140 at Jackpot Studios with recording engineer Larry Crane. We successfully captured all of that EMT magic, and are proud to present it to you in a pedal that is 479.99% smaller than an actual 7' x 4' EMT140! Because plate reverb was born in the studio, we chose to include a pair of studio style sidechain effects that are routinely paired with plates. Both of these controls allow you to 'tune' the reverb to taste, in order to keep it from interfering with the dry signal.
